Have you ever started something in your life that you were not too sure if it is going to work out or not? Well I did, several times. I think my risks and tolerance level is high that I jump to what I know I would love to do.

Anyway, I am sharing with you today why I am here and how I went from an overall travel agent to specializing destination weddings and romance travel!

First, let’s go back to year 2019 and what an amazing year it was in the world of travel! There were no travel restrictions, no pandemic, no flight shortages, everyone was doing life as they go. I started my business as a side hustle that year, I totally did not expect what it is for me. All I know was I love to travel and I have a hospitality management degree, so why not!

Being a travel agent, a really good and professional one, is not a one day task. It takes a lot of hardwork and determination just like running a new business. My first honeymoon booking  happened in January of 2020 and I was ecstatic, It was my first honeymoon traveling April of that year to Punta Cana. Long story short, everyone knows what happened in 2020 and it got cancelled and moved to fall on the same year.

In 2021, while I was in a debacle of should I continue running this business or should I give up, I met my mentor Will Medina from Destination Wedding University. He held a a free class about destination weddings and that got me hook up. I knew I would one day handle a big group, but I would not jump in without proper education!

As a graduate of Destination Wedding University, I am glad that I continue and expand what I have learned over the year about planning a destination wedding. I now have systems in place, destinations I have been, resources to give out to my couples, and the tools to make the destination wedding planning easy!
