At CC Vacations, our destination wedding experts plan fabulous destination weddings at all-inclusive resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean—discover how easy your wedding planning can be when you work with CCV!
Raise your hand if this was you: As soon as you got engaged (congrats!) you raced to find the perfect resort for your destination wedding.
But after hours and hours and hours of researching online, you’re left WAY more confused than when you started. Who knew there were so many resort options out there? And how do you know which one is the perfect fit for your vision, your budget, and your guests?
As destination wedding experts, it’s our job to know. In fact, we scour the Caribbean and Mexico in search of the best all-inclusive resorts to match up our destination wedding clients with. We’ve toured the properties—100+ so far!—met with the wedding teams, and have taken copious notes on what sets each property apart. All that background work means that, when you come to CCV, we can quickly narrow in on what would best for you.
Destination weddings are special, magical, once-in-a-lifetime affairs … and they come with a lot of moving parts. We’ll juggle them all for you, and ensure no detail—no matter how small—falls through the cracks.
We’ve developed a streamlined process that keeps our couples calm and in control leading up to their destination wedding. Our team works directly with your resort to confirm your contract and iron out your package, we keep track of payment deadlines and guest deposits, and we offer real-time support while you and your guests are traveling to and from your destination.
3-4 hand-picked resort options for you to choose from
A complimentary 1-hour consultation to review your vision, budget, preferences and more
A custom wedding website to share with your guests so they can book with ease
Liasioning with your resort to lock in your date, secure your wedding venue, and reserve your room block
Complete guest travel management—including room reservations, airport transfers, extended stays, and more
A private Trello Board to keep track of all your wedding details
Full-service support for you and your guests while you travel
The Big Day is here! On the day of travel, we’ll be in “stand by” mode to assist any of your guests that may encounter travel hiccups. We’re available to support you throughout your entire stay at your resort as well—but with all our prep, we trust everything will roll out smoothly for you. All you have to do is say I do in paradise!
Your guests will be able to reserve their rooms via your custom wedding website (and we’ll answer any questions they have!). Once all your guests and vendors are booked, all we need to do is get everyone ready for travel. We’ll prepare your guests’ flight info for transfers, send them pre-trip emails, and deliver fancy travel documents through a handy downloadable app, so they know exactly what to expect.
Think we’re a good fit? Then it’s time to get the planning party started. You’ll receive a welcome email that includes a Destination Wedding workbook, and then we will collaborate together to discuss venues and wedding date availability—and we’ll finalize your wedding & room block contracts directly with your resort.
Let’s get to know each other! During your complimentary consultation call, we will discuss your vision, why you want a destination wedding, the expectations, and review the process of having a destination wedding. We’ll also share our Destination Wedding Design Fee with you and review what it covers!
That means YOU. We don’t churn and burn through couples; instead we take on a select number of destination weddings per year so we can give you personal attention and extra care. Stellar service makes our hearts happy—and your wedding a total breeze from beginning to end.
Not just talk the talk. We’ve seen the resorts in person. We’ve made connections with the wedding teams and resort general managers. We know who to talk to to get things done, and how to make sure your destination is everything you’ve dreamt it would be.
We’re not a team of “general” travel agents—we’re laser focused on what we love best: romance and destination weddings! In fact, we’re graduates of Destination Wedding University, one of the leading training programs in the travel industry.
A Destination Wedding at an All Inclusive resort can be a great way to leave the stress at home. Unlike a traditional wedding, there is no juggling dozens of vendors (florists, caterers, bakers, photographers, etc.) along with lots of payments and deadlines.
With a Destination Wedding, you aren't obligated to invite hundreds of guests. many who you will never speak to. At a Destination Wedding, you can spend quality time with the people who matter most, your dearest friends and family.
In short, a Destination Wedding can be a one-stop shop.
Instead of stressing about centerpieces or favors, you can focus on what truly matters .... your better half and your guests.
Traditional weddings are expensive. That's it.
There are many components that you have to piece together when planning at home weddings. Think about this way, you are actually having several events at a traditional "at home" wedding. Events like rehearsal dinner, ceremony, a reception, a morning after brunch, a gift opening, bridal party, a dinner after, the list can go on and on... On top of that, you are also planning a honeymoon. When you add all these up, the cost can be "overwhelming".
With a Destination Wedding at an all-inclusive property, you can SAVE MONEY by combining all these events together. All your events will be at one spot! You can have a rehearsal dinner, the actual wedding, a vacation for you & your guests, and even a honeymoon!
When planning a Destination Wedding, there are two costs to consider: (1) The cost of your travel and your guests travel; (2) The cost of the wedding ceremony, reception and other events.
To break it down, here's where a Destination Wedding is so affordable when compared to an "at home" wedding.
When you have an All Inclusive resort Destination Wedding, guests pay for their own travel. Guests love All-Inclusive because they only have to budget for ONE amount. Plus, if you bring enough guests and book enough rooms, you can earn FREE travel for yourself, eliminating this expense.
The best all inclusive resorts have come a LONG way with wedding packages. At the best properties, you can now purchase an affordable, inclusive package that covers almost every detail. When you work with the best properties, you can find packages that include hair styling, makeup, bouquets & boutonnieres, ceremony decor, wedding cake, a private cocktail hour, a private reception, music, photos and more.
Like any major life event, costs vary based on the simplicity (or complexity!) of the event. In the most basic form, a Destination Wedding with a handful of guests can cost anywhere from $0 (yes, free!) up to a few thousand.
A note on the word "package": don't think of "package" as a set, cookie-cutter wedding. Instead, think of a "package" as a combination of services that can be customized. When you work with the right resort and the right wedding planner, everything can be modified and customized. This is probably the single thing that separates a "good" Destination Wedding resort from a "great" one!
The average destination wedding client has between 40-60 guests and spends between $6,000 and $12,000 on their wedding and wedding events.
For American couples, the most popular destinations for all-inclusive weddings are:
Mexico: This includes the areas of Playa Mujeres, Isla Mujeres, Cancun, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Punta Maroma, Puerto Aventuras, Cozumel, Akumal and Tulum
Western Mexico, including Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo and Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit
Dominican Republic, including Punta Cana, La Romana and Puerto Plata
Jamaica, including Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios
The Lesser Antilles Islands of the Caribbean: Saint Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, Aruba, Curacao
Destinations growing in popularity are:
Off-the-Beaten Path Mexico, including Isla Holbox, Huatulco
Costa Rica, particularly the Guanacaste region
The time of year has a significant impact on Destination Wedding costs, both for the couple and their guests. Throughout Mexico and the Caribbean (the most popular destinations for Weddings!), there are 3 main seasons:
Peak Season (Highest Cost): Mid-January through Easter, plus all Holiday weekends
Mid Season (Average Cost): Easter through August, early January
Low Season (Lowest Cost): September through Early November, just before Thanksgiving
Using this information as a guide can help you plan the most cost effective time for you and your guests.
The short answer? A travel advisor will negotiate perks and benefits (including FREE TRAVEL!) for you and your group.
If you DIY your destination wedding, you are probably leaving money on the table.
A travel agent who specializes in Destination Weddings will negotiate a group contract, getting you lots of amenities and freebies for you and your guests.
At CCV, we have built relationships with the BEST resorts and destinations for your destination wedding. We leverage these relationships to build an amazing, unique and personalized experience for our clients.
A travel agent will also help with the nitty-gritty of planning. We will communicate with your guests, answer questions, organize payment plans, accept payments, organize travel insurance, transportation, excursions and more.
At CCV, we will treat your guests as if they were our own friends and family. Each and every guest is important to us, just as they are to you.
Ideally between 10-12 months before your event. This will give ample time to select your resort & destination, finalising the group contract, and allowing enough time for your friends & family to make travel arrangements.
